Celebrating the life of
James Francis Cunningham
March 10, 1936 - June 19, 2016
Savannah- James F. Cunningham, 80, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Landmark Hospital. James was a native of Alton, IL. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and retired after twenty years of service. He then served as a deputy sheriff in Jacksonville, NC and Chesapeake, VA.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Lois G. Cunningham; three children and their spouses, Debra and David Kelly, Tammy and David King, Jeffery and Lydia Cunningham; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. Burial with full military honors will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery.

Thanks for being my dad. The life skillsyou taught me and how to be a man, I have used my whole life. I passed those skills to my kids. My kids are now teaching those skills to their kids.
